To ensure academic discipline, regularity, and active participation in the learning process, all students are required to maintain a minimum level of attendance in both theory and practical classes.
Minimum Attendance Requirement:
Students must have a minimum of 75% attendance in each subject (theory and practical separately) to be eligible to appear for the semester-end examinations.
Some professional programs may require 80% or higher attendance as per statutory/regulatory bodies (e.g., AICTE, UGC, University norms).
Attendance Monitoring:
Attendance will be recorded daily for every class (hour-wise).
Consolidated monthly attendance reports will be published on the college notice board / student portal.
Students and parents are advised to regularly check attendance updates.
Shortage of Attendance:
Students falling short of the required attendance will not be allowed to appear for the final examinations unless condoned by the Principal / Academic Committee, as per university regulations.
Students must submit a written leave application in advance for planned leaves.
In case of medical emergencies, students must submit a medical certificate issued by a registered medical practitioner, along with a leave application, immediately after rejoining.
Leave granted does not guarantee condonation of attendance unless specifically approved.
Condonation may be considered only in genuine cases (medical emergencies, participation in NCC/NSS, sports or cultural events, etc.).
A maximum of 10% condonation may be granted by the Principal as per university rules.
Appropriate documents must be submitted for verification.
Attendance may be linked with internal marks or class participation grades as per academic policy.
Students with irregular attendance may not be eligible for:
Scholarships or financial aid
Placement activities
Participation in college-hosted events or industrial visits
